What is Blueprint?
Blueprint is a new and exciting project designed to give student entrepreneurs a chance to develop and grow their ideas into viable, successful business ventures. Blueprint is a business incubator program run through Brock University Students' Union. A business incubator is designed to foster entrepreneurship by providing opportunities to prepare, develop and grow ideas into successful businesses. Blueprint will create a unique opportunity for students by providing them with business advice, mentorship, and funding.

How Does Blueprint Work?
After the application deadline has closed, all applications will be considered by a team of experienced business experts. Experts and mentors will work with students and prepare them to make a presentation of their idea to the "Blueprint Advisory Council." The Blueprint Advisory Council is comprised of experienced community entrepreneurs, Brock professors, and business development experts, and will select candidates or teams of candidates to become "incubatees", in the Blueprint pilot project. Selected students who enter Blueprint as incubatees will receive business guidance and up to $2000.00 in funding to grow their proposed projects into successful, self-sufficient businesses. All students who apply will have access to continued support for their ideas and endeavours through BUSU's incubator program.

Who Can Apply?
Blueprint is a pilot program for undergraduate students at Brock University. If a team of individuals wishes to submit an application, at least 50% of the team members must be Brock University undergraduate students. For example, if you have developed a business idea with a team of four friends, at least two people on the team must be Brock University undergraduate students.

To submit your business ideas and to take advantage of the great opportunities offered through BUSU's Blueprint pilot program, simply visit www.busu.net/blueprint and click on "Apply Now". The deadline for submissions is February 15th, 2012, at 11:59pm.
